Allison Magera

Allison Magera is a senior at St. Mary’s University majoring in Theology with a minor in visual communication design. She is also a member of the honors program, an alumni scholar and peer tutor in the Rattler Success Center’s writing lab.  

Throughout her time at St. Mary’s, Magera has also worked under the office of University Ministry in several areas. She has served as staff for retreats on campus, and has recently been selected as Rectress for the upcoming Rattler Awakening retreat. As a peer minister, she also creates several faith-based programs in residence halls as to meet and minister to students where they are. In addition to those roles, she also works alongside the social media team as a visual content creator for the University Ministry page on multiple platforms.

As a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic School’s extended-day program, Magera also supervised students pre-k to eighth grade everyday after class, and as a camp counselor at Tecaboca served as the Liturgical coordinator, where she helped kids learn how to actively participate in the mass as lectors, altar servers, and music minsters.

Currently, Magera is a TEAM (teach, evangelize, advocate and minister) intern at Tecaboca, where throughout the semester she will assist in creating and facilitating retreats as well as lead outdoor-oriented activities for people of all ages.

After graduation, Magera plans to earn a graduate degree focused in ministry after a year of service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.
